Our stay at the Stehekin Creekside Cabin was totally enjoyable in every way! David and Jeannetta were warm and welcoming hosts and the cabin they created is comfortable, very clean and thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed the surrounding gardens and getting to know and learn about the two Norwegian Fjord horses who reside on the property. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful soaking tub each evening and the fresh eggs for breakfast were an added special bonus.
David & Jeannetta are gracious hosts who have built a home away from home in the lush Stehekin valley! Living at their cabin is the closest I have come to experiencing Hygge - a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being. The creekside cabin is all that and more! I slept so well after ages. Loved our stay and will plan to come back again whenever we visit Stehekin next.
This cabin was very clean and well-equipped. We liked the screened in porch at the back of the house for meals, playing games and relaxing. The hosts were very gracious and available for questions. The cabin is near hiking trails and the creek in addition to the bakery and the gardens where fresh produce is available.
Every little detail of this place was absolutely perfect. David and Jeanetta were such wonderful hosts, and made me feel right at home! The Cabin is wonderfully crafted, and is more like a house than a cabin. Every little detail looked like it was always meant to be there. I will recommend everyone I know to stay here. If you get a chance to read either of David's Books I highly recommend it! Thank you guys for the memories we will be back
The cabin is very cozy, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is a winter wonderland, with mesmerizing views all around. We visited when it was really cold and snow level at 3 to 4 feet, but hosts took care of every need and helped us in selecting local hikes, and even planning our way back home amidst a winter snow storm. David and Jeannetta are great hosts and to be honest ,the best hosts I have met yet :)
Quiet, extremely relaxing, breathtakingly beautiful. What more can you ask for? This cabin is located in the trees, on a creek in a quiet area away from the landing, which can get a bit busy at times. The cabin itself shows the craftsmanship and details that make it so inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and came home refreshed. The hosts are very accommodating, friendly and glad to share ways and places in which to enjoy this gorgeous area. We highly recommend staying a while!
Highly recommend staying at the Stehekin Creekside Cabin! The cabin is so clean and cozy - a perfect size for a couple, a family, or a small group of friends looking to get away. David and Jeanetta are wonderful hosts and we are looking forward to returning to Stehekin in the spring and summer!
What a wonderful weekend we had at the Stehekin Creekside Cabin! It was just what we all needed—a short escape from the crazy year that is 2020–to a cozy cabin with A++ hosts! From the moment we stepped off the boat at Stehekin Landing and they picked us up, David and Jeannetta were amazing. They were warm and welcoming and made us feel so at home.
Their cabin on the creek was so comfy and had everything we needed. One of our favorite parts about it was being able to enjoy our meals in the screened-in porch area. Oh, and the soaking tub upstairs—so very relaxing after a day of hiking and sightseeing Stehekin! Their fun little farm provided some entertainment as we got to meet their two horses and see the chickens. Our last evening was spent enjoying a campfire down by the creek!
I would highly recommend Stehekin Creekside Cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax! We will definitely go back to their little slice of heaven they so graciously share!
Wow - what can you say except this was the perfect location after a hike on the PCT from the 20 HWY to unwind, shower, and eat exceptional scones at the bakery. Seriously, the hosts David and Jeannetta were exceptional, and went well out of their way to make sure we had a vehicle to use (even leaving the vehicle at High Bridge for us) and picking up some provisions from the ferry. And the cabin itself is as advertised: a nice secluded spot in the woods that has charm and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Our family really loved the experience and will definitely BE BACK! #Stehekin2021
The cabin is in tip top shape inside and out. It's cozy but also has lots of room with a nice upstairs area. The interior finish woodwork is a marvel. David and Jeannetta are friendly, helpful and easy going hosts. In fact that description seems to match most all the people we met around Stehekin, both residents and visitors. It's the ultimate area to truly get away from it all surrounded by spectacular natural beauty. And Stehekin Creekside Cabin makes a great base camp for exploring. I'll throw in a couple of pictures of The Stehekin River near the cabin, a shot at the very north end of Lake Chelan, and some shots from a hike on McGregor Mtn.
