Update December 2022: it is unfortunate that Google does not allow for multiple reviews. It would be another 5/5 βΊοΈ We had so much fun in April, we had to come for more! Stehekin in the snow was even more spectacular than I had imagined. The snow is just SO white, compared to what you see where there are more roads. It felt like we had it all to ourselves, too. An absolutely amazing experience again. I wish we never had to leave. April 2022: Our visit to Stehekin Creekside Cabin was nothing short of magical. We took the Lady Express over from Chelan... it was a long ride, but made for wonderful sight-seeing (bring snacks and binoculars). We were blessed with dramatic snow covered peaks at the same time as blooming crocus during our April visit. As soon we stepped off the ferry in Stehekin, it felt like we had stepped back in time- both in the untouched beauty of nature, and the sense of community at the landing. All of this set the stage for what may be my favorite experience, ever. David and Jeannetta were on the same ferry as us, returning from an extended time away. Despite this, we were greeted with open arms and a level of preparation and hospitality that would have never hinted at them being away. The van was at the landing and all ready to bring us to the cozy Creekside Cabin. During the drive up to the cabin, Jeannetta pointed out areas of historical importance and which roads were good to explore and why. We really enjoyed exploring all of these areas over the next couple of days and appreciated the use of their van to get around. Once at the cabin, we found it cozy, warm, and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. We also loved the collection of family friendly DVD's (and glorious lack of Netflix) to unwind in the evening. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed to prepare meals- although as it is mentioned in the cabin description, it is really important (in the winter months) to bring ALL of the actual food you plan to consume as there is no way to obtain anything on days the ferry does not run. There were a couple of items I forgot and David and Jeannetta were so gracious in providing a loaner so we could be comfortable during our stay π I really cannot say enough great things about the experience we had in Stehekin, at the cabin, and in interactions with David and Jeannetta. It was a wonderful way for our family to get in touch with nature, in a way that is not possible anywhere else I have been. I will recommend this as a bucket list trip to everyone I know. We already look forward to our return!

It would be nearly impossible to find this kind of hospitality anywhere else. David and Jeannetta are delightful and have maintained a pristine and beautiful cabin. I couldn't believe how nice the place was-- the upstairs tub and the A/C were luxurious! My kids loved the horses and nicknamed the van the "Rattlebang" after a kids' book they love. It was a wonderful week.

Our stay at the Stehekin Creekside Cabin was totally enjoyable in every way! David and Jeannetta were warm and welcoming hosts and the cabin they created is comfortable, very clean and thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed the surrounding gardens and getting to know and learn about the two Norwegian Fjord horses who reside on the property. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful soaking tub each evening and the fresh eggs for breakfast were an added special bonus.

David & Jeannetta are gracious hosts who have built a home away from home in the lush Stehekin valley! Living at their cabin is the closest I have come to experiencing Hygge - a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being. The creekside cabin is all that and more! I slept so well after ages. Loved our stay and will plan to come back again whenever we visit Stehekin next.

This cabin was very clean and well-equipped. We liked the screened in porch at the back of the house for meals, playing games and relaxing. The hosts were very gracious and available for questions. The cabin is near hiking trails and the creek in addition to the bakery and the gardens where fresh produce is available.

Every little detail of this place was absolutely perfect. David and Jeanetta were such wonderful hosts, and made me feel right at home! The Cabin is wonderfully crafted, and is more like a house than a cabin. Every little detail looked like it was always meant to be there. I will recommend everyone I know to stay here. If you get a chance to read either of David's Books I highly recommend it! Thank you guys for the memories we will be back

The cabin is very cozy, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is a winter wonderland, with mesmerizing views all around. We visited when it was really cold and snow level at 3 to 4 feet, but hosts took care of every need and helped us in selecting local hikes, and even planning our way back home amidst a winter snow storm. David and Jeannetta are great hosts and to be honest ,the best hosts I have met yet π

David and Jeanetta were wonderful hosts. Beautiful cabin and everything was furnished and the car they provided was wonderful to use for getting around. Very informative and helpful when taking us to the cabin. Beautiful area where the cabin is tucked away. Everything was neat and clean inside and out. We had a wonderful time. And thank you again David and Jeanetta for the chicken eggs! They were delicious! We will definitely be back again soon!

The setting of this little cabin was so perfect alongside a peaceful creek tucked away in the woods with the birds chirping and sun shining. The full kitchen was so nice to have and we enjoyed eating almost every one of our meals on the screened in back porch. It was the perfect unplugged getaway for two and would fit two couples perfectly as well as it is two bed, two bath. The hosts, who live next door, were friendly & helpful and recommended many fun things to do during our stay in Stehekin. The included loaner car was a huge advantage as well. Two thumbs up to this place!

Four of us brothers and brother in laws stayed here a few days to relax and fish the Stehekin River. One of my brother in laws kept mentioning how nice the cabin was, especially the natural wood finish throughout. Little did we know that the owner (Dave) was a retired cabinet maker. He spent months upgrading this cabin to not only make it very comfortable, but a delightful modern cabin with a rustic look. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cabin to anyone wishing to get away from the rat race, but not forego modern conveniences..

Super nice cabin and grounds. Clean and well maintained. Beautiful garden. Comes with a washer and drier, dishwasher, microwave, stove and bbq outside - and the use of a car. Really great owners. Perfect location for fishing and exploring. The owners are very helpful and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable.
